December 21, 2012

Rumour has it that none of us are supposed to live through today…

But instead of being panicky about the unlikely abrupt end of mankind's existence, I embarked on a 4-hour road trip and drove myself to this favourite beach site of mine, with the thought of should the worse ever comes to worst, I will at least be in the embrace of some breathlessly beautiful beach sights while watching the supposedly unthinkable disaster unfolds.

(0630HOURS: Will there be sunrise today?)

It is monsoon season around these parts at this time of the year, so weather is not always on the cheerful side…

(0700 HOURS: Still Dark…)

But despite the thick clouds, dark scene and rainy weather, the sun really did show up in the end…better late than never I’d say!

(0730 HOURS: Rainy Morning)

I turned around and found myself in good company—it seemed like this four-legged friend is interested in observing sunrise, too.

(Hey pondering dog, what’s on your mind?)

I took a stroll on the beach, it felt just the same as it always have been to me.

(To the beach I went!)

I then took a dip in the water, it felt just the same as it always have been to me.

(Towards the sea I went!)

Same old same old…

Nothing has changed, and perhaps the universe is still in order as it always has been.

(Sun, Sky, Sea, Sand)

So I guess we all survived, and everything is fine now.

(Life Oh Life)

But even if it’s not, there’s always tomorrow for us to right the wrongs, fix the broken and kick some asses.
