It's CNY!

Today’s the very first day of Chinese New Year, yet another year had passed and a brand new year has officially begun!

Yeah! All those “unwritten obligations” of Chinese New Year like…(unlawful) group gambling, (illegal) fireworks/ firecrackers, house visiting, and best of all, the rightful act of collecting AngPaus--the red packets with real money inside!

Here’s wishing for an excellent year ahead!

狗年旺旺,旺事如意,旺事顺心!

I Can’t Help the Way I Feel

Today is Friday, February 27.

It’s 4 AM now.

And yet, my mind is restless, and my eyes are still wide open.

What am I doing awake in such wee hour of the night?

Why am I wasting my precious bedtime away, thinking about things that has the potential of causing me losing my mind?

Why am I torturing my mind with the thoughts of HER, when she probably has no idea whatsoever of me doing so?

Why must I place myself in this position, since I know that she couldn’t be bothered with anything I might be going through due to anything she said or acted out in my presence around her?

Because…

Heck! There’s NO because…!

The HEART wants what it wants.

And apparently, she is on top of that list of things I most wanted now.

I can’t hide, I can’t even run…

Think I already got HER under my skin.

How could I not miss HER?

DIY Feng Shui

Here’s a rather interesting article I ripped from a magazine-- fancy a fresh start for the New Year? Then read on:

Set on improving your life this year? How about trying any of these affordable and analogical Feng Shui? With no bronze horse, jade necklace or further ado, let’s look into how to create better CHI with inexpensive home improvement items.

SHED GOOD LIGHT
Use: Light Bulb

Change that light bulb! Make it brighter!
Using light bulbs instead of fluorescent light gives a warm and convivial energy to the room.
The reason why your mood has been rather down and relationships at home isn’t too good is because the lighting in your house is creating uninspired interaction and affecting the mood for love and communication.
For greater love life, use yellow lighting in the bedroom or during sex. It hides flaws and makes you look better—improving confidence and performance.

No-No: Energy saving bulbs. You don’t want to be known as dimwitted or stingy. Besides, they take so long to warm up to its full brightness.

EVALUATE YOURSELF
Use: Measuring Tape

Every now and then, we want to know how we’ve done in life. Reflect and evaluate our character and progress in life- spiritually, mentally and physically.
But to keep your feet on the ground and help you become a better person, have a measuring tape in your drawer (a plastic ruler helps too) in the office or at home.
Its neutral energy will help you build an objective mind. Looking at it will help you to focus more clearly, use facts and be less affected by emotions when it comes to decision-making.

No-No: Weighting Scales. They give undue negative energy into the room—creating anxiety and self doubt. Stow them out of sight, they do nothing for your self-esteem and confidence.

PATCH UP
Use: UHU Glue

Make amends and live through the year feeling closer to your loved ones and those you care about. Remember those who have stuck with you through the good and bad times and tell them how much they mean to you.
Lost friends? Sour relationships? Ex-Colleagues who have called you a few times and you haven’t returned their call since 2005?
Time to patch things up. Buy a tube of UHU, place it on your office desk or study room, remind yourself of the change you’d like to do. Yellow is an optimistic colour; it possesses the power to lift spirits and hope.

No-No: Pen-Knife. It’s con-knife-ing. Knives love to separate things and severe ties. Bad, bad, bad on your table.

COLOUR YOURSELF IN A NEW OUTLOOK
Use: Paint Brush

A paintbrush, a Chinese calligraphy pen or an art brush reflects good YIN and YANG energy.
YIN is the female energy of being receptive, intuitive and nurturing in connection with Divine.
YANG is masculine energy that projects strength, action-oriented, forceful side of us that gets things accomplished.
If a room were full of YIN energy, it would have soft moods, soft lighting, relaxing music and comfortable furnishing.
YANG energy however can be sourced from computers, TV and work related equipment.
In life, it is good to have a balance of YIN at home and YANG in the office. Display a brush in front of you to give you a balanced energy to do everything with grace and patience but yet forceful and decisive when you need to be.

No-No: Sledgehammer. It’s ugly and forceful. Anything that gives you excessive amount of YANG energy will disrupt the divine balance.

SCREW RIGHT
Use: Screws

There are some people in the world that you don’t want to give a fxxk about, like the winner of the title Miss PMS in the accounts department who delays your claims until you tell her you have eating disorder due to poverty. I feel your pain. For instant relief, get a piece of wood from your local hardware store (you can name the wood, but this is optional). Every time you feel violated, just screw one of these screws in. It’s therapeutic and helps you control your anger, mood and improves productivity at work. It’s like screaming, “SCREW U!!!”—minus the guilt.

No-No: Using Nails. It reminds you of too much of bad sex; it’s got to be hammered before it can go in.

FUEL THE DRIVE
Use: Screwdriver

If there’s only one DIY-equipment you should know how to use, it’s the screwdriver!
You’ll never know when it might come in handy. Even if you have never used one before, you could keep a few of different sizes handy. When friends or co-workers desperately ask for a screwdriver, offer one in your hand and smile.
Having these things around will make you indispensable and foster better relationship with those around you.

No-No: Power Tools. They just want to get in and out of the hole really fast. Plus they need electricity to function.

Such Contradiction

It is rather frustrating how a supposedly less-than-5-minutes-journey on the road could be stretched to almost an hour in a bumper to bumper situation.

I supposed this is the price we are forced to pay for living a modern life.

Nevertheless, try correcting me if I am wrong:-

---Isn’t the primary reason for the existence of transportation vehicle being shortening the time of commuting from point A to point B?

---Isn’t modern form of living carries the promise of an easier, comfortable, enjoyable, better-than-ever qualities of life?

Any easy answer to all these?

My Freakin’ Shopping Spree

15 items in total!

1 long sleeve shirt, 3 short sleeve shirts, 4 T-shirts, 6 boxers and a long pants…in less than an hour of time!

Things were officially gotten so out of hands this time around…me and my supposedly small scale weekend indulgence in the form of a trip to the mall….which ended up being way over the edge……

SIGH…

How I Wish Today Will Never Come

It was a brief period.

10 months plus to be precise.

7thMarch2005---- 11stJanuary2006

Though short, but, definitely memorable, and, eventful.

I always knew it is most certainly going to come down to this, either sooner or later.

But this realisation doesn’t help in making this any easier for me. Would rather it to be much much much later than sooner,or , never…

I am probably the single most reluctant human around about this decision of yours.

And today, despite of me trying my best to be in great ignorance and denial, has finally arrived.

I know this is for your best, in a grand scheme of things, and I would like to be supportive in whatever you heart desires in life.

Which is why I am dealing this with a smiling face on the outside, and an extremely heavy heart on the inside.

I realise that we are not going to be heading the same destination every morning anymore, from today onwards.

Not going to scratch our head trying to solve problems together anymore, from today onwards.

Not going to have those laughters and small talks over lunch anymore, from today onwards.

Not going to walk out from the same building together at the end of a day anymore, from today onwards.

After today, none of these events are going to take place in both our life, anymore.

We can’t really turn things back, can’t we?

Well, I guess you gotta do what you gotta do, which is this one, the RIGHT thing.

Oh, by the way, just so you know:-

You are so going to be missed, dearly.

I intended to keep this really short and simple, but look what I’ve done…Such a lengthy bulky words of despair.

But as always, there will be an end to everything, like this article, and, the moment of togetherness.

Hence, THE END, for everything, in both of our account.

Were You High?

Did you guys have fun for the night?

I doubt so.

Don’t you guys felt like being screwed-over?

Let me guess, after a while, it felt more like a torture than fun huh?

Think about the empty wallet, the sense of guilt, and those lies you guys had to tell in order to cover your tracks yesterday night.

Well, after everything is finally said and done, I guess you guys should probably put that topic to rest huh?

You see, it’s not really as great as you guys might thought it would be.

Now that you guys finally got a taste of how it actually felt like, would you guys like to do it again?

Not likely, I think.

GoodByeZeroFive,HelloZeroSix

This is my first blog entry on the first day of a brand new year.

I hope to be rid of all the bad bits of the past 365 days, so that i can keep marching forward for a fresh new start.

I wish to safeguard all good moments of yesteryear, so that i can always be motivated and be kept warm in the hardest & harshest moments in life.

I intend to set reasonable goals within my means, and try to achieve all of them.

I will also be habouring those grander, almost-impossible hopes and dreams deep down inside of me, for the sake of pushing myself with great wisdoms, and be brave enough to take some wild chances in life.

If i have learnt anything at all from my two-decade plus of existence, was that LIFE is anything but predictable.

With that being said, i am quite curios of my new possibilities in this brand new year.

What's really in-store for me ahead?

Hmmm...I shall let time be the wiseman and provide me the answer.

Come what may! 2006! I am all geared up and ready for you!
