Do You Have the "FLOW"?

What’s a FLOW? You asked, well, it is:

" A happy state, the feeling of complete engagement in a creative or playful activity familiar to athletes, musicians, video game enthusiasts- almost anyone who loses themselves in a favourite pursuit."

Lately, for some reasons, i tend to lose all ability to focus and concentrate on anything i do quite easily, not even for those things that i used to enjoy doing so much.

I am now, without the FLOW.

I wish to lose myself in my own little world again.

I wanna be able to sit back quietly, to indulge myself in books, music, a good conversation etc etc.

What's happening?

Feels like i am throwing my life away, for not even being able to please myself.

How do i get my FLOW back?

A Thing or Two About Happiness

Did some read-ups on the subject of Happiness lately, and discovered quite a few gems out of it, which, I would like to share with just about anyone and everyone out there. Are you up for this?

Below is some unique point of view on how happiness should look like, according to some professional shrink:

“Happiness is determined by one’s state of mind rather than by external events. It is not subject to time and decay, or dependant on the acquisition of things and people”

“Happiness is not a goal; it’s a tool for survival”

The value of connecting with other people seems to be the most fundamental finding from the science of happiness. Like:

“It is important to work on social skills, close interpersonal ties and social support in order to be happy”

And they say happiness doesn’t belong to a loner, simply because most loner are known to be relationship-less, how else would you be a loner if you don’t isolate yourself from other people around you?

“The things that would have helped our ancestors to survive and reproduce, like romantic relationships, parental relationships with children, close friendships, tend to bring us the most happiness"

I’m maintaining a neutral stand point on the statement above, you see, yes…I won’t deny that
relationships tend to bring us the most happiness-----but only when both parties in that particular relationship are on good terms with each other.
Otherwise, when the whole thing turn sour, it is going to be the worst nightmare you will ever endure, much like being physically thrown into a burning hell, only worse!

Call me a pessimist if you like, for I am only trying to look at both sides of the coin.

Here is another rather interesting take on the subject:

"The primary role of happiness is to motivate us to want to spread our happiness and genes around".

Hmmmm......"spreading the genes around". Does it mean that happiness is the mother of all LUST?

……Never mind that, just me and my crazy thoughts.

What is HAPPINESS to you?

Conflict of Interest

I have your best interest at heart, as always.

I would do anything to guarantee your happiness.
And you are much happier, without me around you.

I would like myself to be happy too.
And I am so very happy, with you around me.

The thing is, that, it is obvious:
If you are happy, I am not.
If I am happy, you are not.

For me to be happy, I need to be selfish.
I can’t be this cruel to you.
For you to be happy, I ought to be miserable.
I can’t be that cruel to myself.

Now isn’t this ironic?

Just what the heck should I do!?

Hey You! I Only Have So Much Patience!

...so a piece of advice from me to you is: Don't ever push it!
I don't mind taking the initiative giving you a call ,what really bothers me was that you don't respond to missed-call and only picked up the call after my continuous effort of redialling your number, which you were so eager to hang-up to.

Also, it was not enjoyable to wait for you to do whatever you promised you would do, only to be stood-up at the end of the day.

If your time is too precious for a people like me, then don't bother socialising with me at all, I am not interested of getting in your way either.

You are less than nothing to me, once you have exploited my good intention towards you.

Feel free to keep all the time in the world to yourself, from now on.

Wish I Could Be an Animal

Animal like dogs never hide their feelings.

They would howl in a really sad tone when they are starving, go nuts when they see the foods are being served to them finally.

They would jump up & down, bark happily at the sight of their master returning home.

They would bark furiously at strangers attempting to approach them, regardless of how good-looking the stranger may appeared to be, or how high his social status may be in the circle of human civilization.

They don’t know anything about being a pretentious hypocrite.

They only know how to show their true feelings, it’s their nature.

Which is not a bad thing at all….

To be honest with yourself, your feeling, and what your heart really desires.

How I wish I could be an animal.

Things i Learned While Watching the 'Idiot Box'

Being a couch potato certainly has its own advantages, in my case, i've managed to pick up a few excellent lines that best describes some of my unusual characteristic from the shows that i tuned into. Let me explain how:

"Why is anger always your first reaction!?"
Yes, i do admit....But you may not know this:There are not many people i know that can make me lose my cool in such a lousy manner, i simply can't be bothered with whatever they've done to me, or even their existence on the face of this earth.
So my answer to the question above would be: I am angry because i tried too hard, and most importantly, i cared too much.

"Why are you getting all worked-up over nothing?"
I sure did huh? Well, can't really help it. Why? Refer to the answer above.

"I only act defensively"
This is the best one! A 4-word-sentence got everything covered! Sorry if i sounded offensive, whatever i did, it was only meant for me to protect myself, and, to make up for the lack of the sense of security in me.I know it's a worst thing a man could do in the name of self-expression, and for what it's worth, i definitely don't feel any better after doing it.

Just so you know.

What would my life be, If without TV?

Unimaginable............

Something for All of You to Chew On

Here's 1 rather amusing article i found on a printed ad in a mag, i must say that it was an excellent ad because it managed to grab my attention and made me getting a pen and jotting it down, so that i could retype it in my blog and share with you guys. Here's how it went:

Dear customers,

Every year billions of dollars spent by countless companies to convince people like you to part with your dough, by bombarding you with subliminal ideas that you are worthless without their product or if you are not doing, wearing, or driving what their endorsers are doing, wearing, or driving.
Obviously, we would like you to purchase and wear our products, but not because of what you are not, but because of what you are. WE REPRESENT YOU.

Brand xxx xxxx

Such clever line, ain't it?
